This design is based from the famous Revolutionary War flag created by Colonel William Moultrie. As the Colonel put it "This was the 1st American flag displayed in the South." The original flag flew over Sullivan Island on June 28 1776. As the story goes Sergeant William Jasper put his life on the line numerous times attempting to replace the flag after the British it shot down. The story spread across the Colonies and Americans were inspired and emboldened by Jasper's bravery. In the end the Brits were so humiliated that they never fought in the South again until 1778. We offer this hat as a modern symbol of defiance for the cause of individual liberty and independence. Today the flag represents the diligence risk and sacrifice it takes to achieve freedom not only for Americans but for every human being facing tyranny. It's also a great gift for the history buff you know as it is one of the 1st American flag designs. myBaseball
